The Parque das Nações is a leftover from the Lisbon World Expo in 1998. After the Expo the area was transformed into a modern part of Lisbon with new apartments, a shopping center, a train station etc and lost of modern architecture including the neighbouring Vasco da Gama bridge. There is a cable car which runs for a section along the riverfront, and that is what you see here at dusk with a full moon.
