Lessudden House, St. Boswells, Scottish Borders. is a grand, four-storey former peel tower for Melrose Abbey, the house was rebuilt around its ancient core in the late 16th century, having been destroyed by the invading armies of Henry VIII in 1544. In the 17th century, the house was bought by the Scotts of Raeburn and was home to Sir Walter Scott’s uncle and aunt’s family for 300years. Sir Walter Scott himself was a regular visiter to Lessudden House.
