Same procedure as last time. Still going through the archives and still finding images worth processing. Again a first version, tomorrow or at the weekend I'll take a final look and do a print to see if I need to refine.

This year we went to the same place but the light didn't come close to what I saw that morning, one year ago. I will try again next year :-)

A beautiful summer evening at lake Gerold in Bavaria.

My favourite view of the Karwendel. Lake Gerold as usual. Since it was so cold that morning I didn't use my filters here but did some normal bracketing and blending. More work than with filters but I didn't want to fumble around with them in the cold.

I also did some focus stacking for the corners. Though the tamron 24-70 is very sharp and also better in the corners than my canon 16-35mm at the same focal length I needed some slight blending since shooting f/8 here.

And speeking of focus stacking. I was guest in a Podcast where we were talking about it.

Going through this years photos. Still sooo many on my harddrive. Here's one from last june, taken during an evening at lake Gerold. No drama in the sky but a nice calm mood. I hope for some snow soon, then I'll return and get this one in winter :-)

A wonderful morning at Geroldsee in the german Alps. I waited many years to capture this scene in such conditions and I'm glad I waited this morning although it first didn't look like it would happen.
